The short version: Vero is a personal wellness tool, not a doctor. Your data stays on your phone, you pay for premium features through Apple, and we aren’t liable for how you use the insights to train.
Legal Agreement
1. Agreement Overview
This agreement is between you and Ronald Edward Weidemann, d/b/a Vero Health. These terms govern your use of the Vero iOS application. By downloading or using the app, you confirm you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Health & Medical Disclaimer
Vero is NOT a medical device. It is not FDA-cleared and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
- Insights are for informational and motivational purposes only.
- Consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any exercise program.
- Emergency: If you experience chest pain or dizziness, stop activity immediately and call 911.
- Vero’s outputs (HRV, ACWR, Readiness) are statistical models, not clinical certainty.
3. Description of Service
Vero is a personal wellness app that reads Apple HealthKit data (HRV, sleep, workouts) to provide readiness and recovery insights. All processing is performed on-device; no health data is transmitted to our servers.
4. Subscription Terms
Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions:
- Monthly: $5.99 | Annual: $39.99
- Free Trial: 7-day “reverse trial” with full access upon first install.
- Billing: Charged to your Apple ID. Renewals occur unless cancelled 24h before the period ends.
- Cancellation: Manage via iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
5. Apple-Mandated Terms
You acknowledge that this agreement is between you and the Developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for app maintenance, support, or product claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and have the right to enforce this agreement against you.
6. License & Intellectual Property
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Vero on Apple-branded devices. All algorithms, designs, and code are owned by the Developer. You retain ownership of your personal health data.
7. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for your device security and for providing accurate profile data (age/weight) to ensure algorithm accuracy. You agree not to attempt to circumvent premium feature locks.
8. Privacy & Data
Your privacy is paramount. All data is processed locally. We use no analytics SDKs or trackers. See our full Privacy Policy for details. Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored Vero data.
9. Liability & Indemnification
Vero is provided “AS IS.” To the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for any injury or damages arising from your use of the app. Liability is capped at the amount paid in the last 12 months or $25.00 USD.
10. Legal Governance
Termination: We may suspend access for terms violations. You may terminate by deleting the app.
Changes: Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of new terms.
Law: Governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
